Moosey BB Goode & Green was originally created by Dan Turcotte as part of MooseFest 2009 of Bennington, Vermont. Moosey currently resides in front of The Tuscan Sunflower which is located at 318 North Street, in Bennington.
Moosey is modeled after a classic 1950’s motorcycle and even sports a custom made sidecar. Authentic Harley Davidson parts were incorporated into the design. Multiple sculptural styles of flames are evident throughout this project. The unique finish was created with a three stage automotive paint process.
A green theme was created through the use of recycled materials; including old tires and discarded sheet metal. There are five different solar panels (adapted from landscape lights) that power Moosey’s headlight, taillight and blinkers. Moosey carries his sunflower snacks with him in the sidecar.
This rock n’ roll hotrod moose has captured the hearts of both young and old.
